Focused mainly on pre-school children, the aim of the project is to eliminate white coat fear that often occur in children for the first time they meet physicians and other health professionals.
In a fun and interactive way, specially designed workshops try to get kids acquainted with Doctors’ work and the equipment used by the doctor during the examination. Med students are participating in the workshops, which develop their own communication skills and build a quality relationship between children and themselves as a health professional.
In addition, special attention is also directed to the education of children, primarily about health, good hygienic habits, a healthy diet and a human body from the earliest age.
The workshops are held several times a month in various kindergartens at Zagreb and the County of Zagreb, and furthermore, the Teddy Bear Hospital is regular a guest at fairs and festivals dedicated to children and health, and also we organize a large annual event in the city center, which is open to all interested parents and children- Teddy Bear Hospital.
In the Ribnjak Park, there is a large Hospital, which, as well as the real hospitals, has its own clinic, waiting room, surgery room, pharmacy, and laboratory so that interested children can undergo all the steps of the treatment process and learn a lot about it.
Apart from the hospital in Ribnjak, there will be a handful of workshops so that everyone can find something for themselves – both children and parents, grandparents
